EVENTS

We are heavily involved and very active in events. We do a number of events with some being weekly, others monthly and some are annually such as:

• FREE SURF LESSONS & SUP TRIALS
  We provide 3 free surf lessons every Friday for kids, adults & Pinoys as well as free stand-up paddleboard trials within that to stimulate SUP interest. This is a great way to learn to surf or test out SUP’ing without having to shell out for all the equipment or lesson till you are sure of it!
  

• BATTLE OF THE PADDLE
  This is a newly launched, super popular SUP amateur race series running monthly (but hopefully going bi-monthly as the number of entrants grows). We anticipate this series is set to become one of the biggest monthly events in the UAE as it has done worldwide.
  

• OLD SKOOL SURF MOVIE NIGHTS
  We run a monthly charity event in which we collect funds for charity while watching surf movies .We barbeque and have prize giving raffles which collect funds for charity while people have a relaxed evening watching surf flicks on a big screen outdoor venue. Watch this space as we have plans to expand this into bigger venues and an annual festival in the near future.
  

• CLEAN-UPS
  We like to do our bit for the environment so will often tie an event into a beach clean-up so those who are getting a discounted event have to do something good for the environment. We have to date picked up TONS of rubbish from local beaches and will continue to do this in the future too.
  

• SURF SAFETY COURSES
  We like to advocate safe surfing and to minimize injuries so we like to do courses, mail out info and supply booklets on water safety and basic surfing etiquette. We think this is essential to ensure surf zones that are safe for all and to stop localism and aggressive behavior. We are also ambassadors to surfing and are examples of good surfing behavior, respect and surf etiquette.
  

• OMAN CAMPING SURFARI’S
  As mentioned before, these are some of the biggest and most popular trips in the surfing calendar with cooler temperatures, excellent un-crowded waves and camping right on the beach making this one of the summer highlights every year.
  

• KIDDIES PARTIES & CORPORATES
  We do almost 1 per week and the volume of kids can reach over 40. The kids play games and are entertained with surfboards & paddleboards while learning valuable skills in balance and surf exercise. We also do corporate and team building which we offer to all our suppliers and brand partners free of charge.
  

• DUBAI SURFRIDERS CLUB
  The club is very active with regular events to the flowrider in Wild Wadi, beach clean-ups, skimboarding events and also demo days where you can try several different sports for free such as skimboarding, surfing, surfski, bodyboarding, flowriding and SUP’s. Admission to the club is free and membership is applied for simply by logging onto the chat forum.
  

• PHOTOGRAPHY & VIDEOING
  – We also like to shoot all our own photo’s and cover our own events so we have a library full of surf & event pictures. We will also be offering up filming and coverage of events in the near future too. Most of our staff are budding amateur for semi professional photographers or videographers and we also have access to a host of media coverage by people who surf!
  

PAST EVENTS

• PEPSI FLOWRIDER CHAMPIONSHIPS
  We were one of the head sponsors in the 2010 Pepsi Flowriding Championships at Wild Wadi and hope to keep up the sponsorship for years to come. We also sponsor several riders who are going to compete in the world championships as the UAE national Team.
  

• OMAN KITE CHALLENGE & SUP RACE
  We, alongside Red bull and magic swell, were the key sponsors for this annual event which is the biggest on the Oman coastline every year. Our SUP paddle race was very popular and one of the highlights of the event.
